Ca. SFT Firing operations course designed by EMC at the request of CA. OES and CA. SFT to prepare Ca. Firefighters to effectively use fire to fight wildfires or conduct Prescribed Burns. 16 hour classroom on fire behavior and wildland firing operations, regulations associated with firing and RX burning, organizing for burning operations, firing operations techniques. 16 Hours of hands on live fire firing operations developing the skills required for all firing techniques followed by being assigned to plan and execute a firing operation as FIRB.
